Shadowmourne Playerbot Command Guide

Many players log in and immediately begin playing without realizing everything Shadowmourne has to offer. On this realm, you can bring characters from your linked accounts into the world as Playerbots and control an entire party or raid while playing your main character.

Once your accounts are linked, your other characters can follow you, complete quests, fight enemies, fill tank, healer, and damage roles, enter dungeons and raids, collect loot, train skills, manage equipment, and much more.

This guide contains the most important Playerbot commands every Shadowmourne player should remember. Replace BOTNAME with your character’s name and ACCOUNTNAME with the account you want to use.

Commands sent through a whisper affect one bot. Commands sent in party or raid chat affect every applicable bot in your group.

Linking Multiple Accounts

Before controlling characters from another account, you must securely link that account to your main account.

Step 1: Create a private linking key

Log into a character on the account you want to link and enter:

.playerbots account setKey YOUR_PRIVATE_KEY

Your private key is not your account password. Create a unique key and never share it publicly.

Step 2: Link the account to your main account

Return to your main account and enter:

.playerbots account link ACCOUNTNAME YOUR_PRIVATE_KEY

Step 3: Check your linked accounts

.playerbots account linkedAccounts

Unlink an account

.playerbots account unlink ACCOUNTNAME

Repeat these steps for every additional account you want to control.

Logging Your Playerbots In and Out

Bring in every available character from a linked account

.playerbots bot addaccount ACCOUNTNAME

Bring in one character

.playerbots bot add BOTNAME

Bring in multiple characters

.playerbots bot add BOTONE,BOTTWO,BOTTHREE

Remove one character

.playerbots bot remove BOTNAME

Remove multiple characters

.playerbots bot remove BOTONE,BOTTWO,BOTTHREE

Remove all Playerbots currently in your party or raid

.playerbots bot remove *

Invite a Playerbot to your group

/invite BOTNAME

Playerbots normally accept group invitations automatically.

Whisper Commands and Group Commands

Whisper a command when you want only one Playerbot to respond:

/w BOTNAME follow
/w BOTNAME stay
/w BOTNAME attack

Use party chat when you want every Playerbot in your party to respond:

/p follow
/p stay
/p attack

Use raid chat when commanding an entire raid:

/r follow
/r stay
/r attack

Movement and Combat Commands

Follow you

/w BOTNAME follow

Remain in the current position

/w BOTNAME stay

Attack your selected target

Immediately run back to you

Summon Playerbots to your location

Make a bot leave the party

Make the current bot leader give you leadership

Spread bots apart

/p disperse set 6

This tells the bots to maintain approximately six yards of separation and can be very helpful during dungeon and raid encounters.

Reset the separation distance

/p disperse disable

Assigning Tank, Healer, and Damage Roles

Configure a tank

/w TANKBOT co +tank,+tank assist,-dps

Configure a healer

/w HEALERBOT co +heal,-dps

Configure a damage dealer

/w DPSBOT co +dps,+assist,-tank

Enable automatic harmful-area avoidance

/p co +avoid aoe

Tell healers to conserve mana

/p @heal co +save mana

Tell tanks to face enemies away from ranged players

/p @tank co +tank face

You can target certain types of bots with filters such as:

@tank
@heal
@dps
@ranged
@meleedps
@group1
@group2
@mage, @paladin, or another class name

Equipment, Talents, and Maintenance

Maintain all bots in your party

/p maintenance

Maintenance helps bots learn available spells and skills, repair equipment, obtain consumables, and perform other basic character upkeep.

Automatically improve equipment

/w BOTNAME autogear
/p autogear

Autogear allows the Playerbot to evaluate and equip appropriate equipment. Check valuable or specialized equipment before using this command.

View the bot’s current talent setup

/w BOTNAME talents

View available specializations

/w BOTNAME talents spec list

Choose a specialization

Reset the bot AI

Display the bot’s quest summary

Display every quest in the bot’s quest log

Accept a selected quest

Accept every available quest from the selected quest giver

Turn in a completed quest at the selected NPC

/w BOTNAME talk

Abandon a quest

/w BOTNAME drop [QUEST LINK]

Playerbots will also react to many of your normal actions. When you accept a quest, speak to a quest giver, enter a dungeon, mount, or begin a ready check, the bots will often respond automatically.

Loot and Inventory Commands

Enable looting

Loot normal items but avoid Bind-on-Pickup items

Release the bot’s spirit

Remember that some commands require the Playerbot to be in your party, near the correct NPC, targeting the correct creature, or standing beside the appropriate trainer, vendor, bank, or quest giver.
